New Voices in Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is a cohort-based leadership program that promotes collaboration among outstanding early- and mid-career scientists, engineers, and medical professionals during a two-year term of service. The program aims to expand the diversity of expertise engaged in the convening and advisory functions of the National Academies while building a network of emerging U.S. leaders to address national and global challenges.
The Zoroastrian Association of Metropolitan Washington, Inc. (ZAMWI) is delighted and honored to provide two Scholarships annually of $4,000 (US) each to selected Zoroastrian students from any part of the world who are enrolled in a degree or professional program at any accredited Institution of higher education in the USA. The Banoo and Daraius Mobedjina Impact Fellows Scholarship reflects the wishes of the two donors in whose names a very generous donation was received by ZAMWI, and in whose names the scholarships are awarded.
ZAMWI is introducing a different and innovative approach to the award of these scholarships which we believe emphasizes Zoroastrian values and tradition. Zoroastrians are known both in their home countries of India, Iran, and Pakistan, as well as in the diaspora for their honesty, diligence, civic mindedness, and philanthropy. These traits stem from our religious tradition built upon the mantra of “Good Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds.” In The Gathas, Zarathustra exhorts us to further Mazda’s Creation as the universe moves toward perfection, through good stewardship of the world and all its creatures. Happiness to those who bring happiness to others.
The core objective of this Fellowship is to encourage and enable its recipients to make a positive impact on our world and our fellow humans. The Scholarship requires its selected recipients to use their Good Mind to conceive a project or activity that builds on their academic program of study to deliver results that further their Zoroastrian values and enrich life on earth. They are therefore titled as “Fellows” for the positive impact they will have on society while at the same time enriching their own development by applying their skills to perform Good Deeds that align with Asha.

University of Sheffield, UK is inviting applications for the engineering excellence scholarship, which is reserved for international students. Interested candidates can visit the official website — sheffield.ac.uk — of the varsity to apply for this scholarship.
This scholarship is offered by the varsity’s Faculty of Engineering, and it recognises academic excellence by offering scholarships of up to £3,000 to overseas fee-status students starting an undergraduate degree in September 2023.
Candidates who attain A level grades of A*AA or above (or the equivalent qualification in India) will receive the Excellence Scholarship.
