Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program –  Sponsored by ECA (https://eca.state.gov/) and supported in its implementation by IREX, the CEE Program supports emerging community leaders, ages 21-28, from around the world working at the nexus of public, private, and non-profit sectors to address issues of public concern and improve the quality of community. CEE fellows participate in a three-month exchange in the United States where they work with a host organization. During their practicum experience, CEE fellows work directly with U.S. community-based organizations focused on addressing similar civil society issues. Fellows strengthen their own capacity and share their own knowledge and experience with their host community. They will also participate in a comprehensive civic engagement and leadership curriculum and learn values-based approaches to problem-solving rooted in collaborative and inclusive decision-making, discourse, and democratic principles. Following their time in the United States, fellows will implement a results-oriented project in their home communities over six months, specifically focused on issues related to one of the five CEE program themes: civic dialogue and peacebuilding, open and participatory government, women and gender, resilience and sustainable development, and youth engagement.

The application period closes on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
